Oatmeal drops / Creal crisps 


1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats 

1/2 cup sugar

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softend

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon baking powded

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 egg

Heat oven 350°. Mix all ingredients. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto gteased baking sheet. Bake until tops are dry and edges are light brown. 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly; remove from baking sheet. 

3 DOZEN COOKIES. less than 50 calories each.

Cereal Crisps 

2 egg  

1 cup sugar

2 cups chocolate-flavored corn puff cereal

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

Use a shiny beaking sheet at less 2 inches smaller than your oven for best results. 


When baking a seconds batch, be sure baking sheet is cool to keep dough from spreading.

Heat oven to 375°. Beat eggs until very thick. Beat in sugar until well mixed. Stir in remaining ingredients. Redrigerate until dough is stiff, about 15 minutes.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greades baking sheet. Bake until edges are light brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Immediately remove from baking sheet. Cool on wire rack.

4 DOZEN COOKIES, Less than 50 calories each.
